She is in her second year. We know each other for quite some time and we have worked together in a course project too. She knows me well and is comfortable around me. She teases me.

I am graduating this May and in this May she will be a 3rd year student.

She knows I am gonna go for a PhD abroad which generally takes 5 years. My family has a business/industry background while her father is in a very good position at a large MNC.

Will her father consider me a good option for his daughter given that they are a salaried family and we are from business?

We do have similar financial background

Also given that I am gonna go to US for a PhD, will this be a negative or a positive on my side?
