Moving to IVF
Well ladies, this is the end of the IUI road for me. I have done 5 rounds of letrozole with timed intercourse and 3 rounds of letrozole with IUI and trigger shot. Each time we had 1-2 eggs and confirmed ovulation for all 8 medication cycles. Husband sperm is good, all IUI had total mobile sperm of 20-45million post wash. My doctor said the max number of IUIs she recommends is 4, but we are done after 3. We haven’t ever seen a positive so we are ready to move to IVF.
I will be starting birth control on Monday for 2.5 weeks and then starting IVF at the end of May with retrieval sometime the week of June 8. I have lean PCOS with very high AMH (21.5) and around 70plus follicles. We will be doing ICSI and PGT-A testing. We live in Canada and the cost of all of this including medication is around $20,000-$25,000 (depending on how many embryos we send for testing). Thankfully we have full coverage for IVF for one round so this will all be covered.
