NEP Attendance policy is messing with my mental health
I'm a first year student at lsr. I was in a performing soc and also due to health issues i'm 3% below the attendance criteria. I was also low in attendance last sem and they excused it but this time theyre detaining me in one core paper. How is it fair, i understand attendace is important and i significantly imrpoved my attendance as compared to last sem but they are being so strict. I have multiple issues and responsibilities towards my family I simply cannot afford being detained and I tried my best to manage both together. Am i supposed to compromise every opportunity thrown my way cus of DU's strict attendance policy? I'm not from a good financial background, am i supposed to leave out internship and job opportunities simply because of attendance? Sometimes profs miss our attendance and refuse to give it cus of their own ego. They dont let you enter if youre late which is understandable but sometimes even if they allow entrance they refuse to give attendance. I don't know what to do. Highly disappointed in DU and NEP. This is why no one wants to come to Delhi University anymore.
