Rescues not responding

Location: New Jersey, USA

I recently found a few stray cats outside my mom's place. I've seen 1 tortie in the same spot, and 3 <1yr old cats roaming. I don't live there but I'm there maybe 50-80% of the week when I'm not working to care for her (she's stage 4 lung cancer and needs a lot of help), so I'm not there daily to check on the cats.

I know someone is at least taking care of the tortie since there's a food plate and water bowl out there but I add some food too since it seems like there's wet food put out maybe 1x/day and I don't want them hungry, but I'm worried about them being out so long with other animals that could hurt them or if they get hot by a car, etc.

I've tried contacting 3 different animal rescues and none have responded back, it's been a little over a week, is this normal? I used to work in one of them and though it's been years I remember us working with rescue volunteers and coordinating asap to at least set up a plan.

I'd love to trap them and take them to the vet but I have a cat-aggressive cat and between taking care of her and my mom I don't have any more space for them to be kept safely. Any advice is welcome, please! Thanks so much for any help!

My mom is battling stage 4 lung cancer and has been for years, I'm her caretaker for the last decade and she told me I'll be her executor when she passes. She's taking a bad turn in her health, very hopefully temporarily and she'll have a positive note next treatment. In the meantime I'm trying to make sure all of her requests for what she wants is allowable and if not what alternatives we can do to honor her.

My question is (I've gotten verbal permission from my mom to make calls and arrangements) is there etiquette/requirements to have the person the funeral is for there? The treatments are so hard on her she's been more homeward bound than ever lately and I'm not sure she'll make the appointments because it's so hard for her to get outside.

Thanks so much for your time and I really appreciate any insight, I've luckily never dealt with funeral planning before and knowing I'll possibly shut down when she eventually passes I want to make sure I can do the best I can now.
