How to know if I should clean my laptop fans?
Basically the title, but for context I bought my legion pro 7i last year in december brand new, and I've used it almost everyday (i live in a hot environment so my fans go crazy whenever i game). Recently I've noticed the fans starting to kick in more often and louder, and using MSI afterburner to check I think it's getting a bit hotter, sometimes negligible, sometimes by a considerable amount. Delta Force is the same temps (reaching thermal limits on my custom mode which is lower wattage than the performance mode on the CPU), and about the same FPS. Euro Truck Simulator is about the same, no differences there. Genshin is where it's been getting hotter, while drawing the same wattage it's getting about 10 degrees celcius hotter on the same graphics setting. I did start noticing some clumps of dust accumulating on the 2 main fans, which I guess is normal but since it's my first gaming laptop I'm concerned. Should I get my laptop serviced? I don't feel comfortable opening something as (relatively) expensive as this myself since I could break something, so likely I'm going to send it to a local repair shop if I decide to get it done. Any advice? Could it be just because some games are getting more intensive?
