Reading Analytics on Google for Android app

Reading Analytics on Google for Android app

I’ve been learning something interesting after launching my first app on Google Play recently. I used to think app growth was mostly about downloads. Now I’m realizing installs are honestly one of the least important metrics 😅

The deeper I go into Google Play Console analytics, the more I see things like:

•retention

•crash rates

•subscription conversion

•where users came from

•and whether they come back after Day 1

These matter WAY more than raw install numbers. Like… you can get thousands of installs from a viral post and still have an unhealthy app if nobody returns.

As a first-time founder, it’s been fascinating learning how much psychology is behind product analytics.

People don’t just “use an app.” They actually try it, get confused, abandon the onboarding, or just forget it exists.

For experienced founders/devs here: What analytics metric changed the way you thought about your product the most? Would love to learn from people further ahead in this journey.

Made these stickers on Canva

Hey everyone! I recently designed these stickers on Canva for a gifting app I’m building to help people remember special occasions. I’m finally ready to get them out into the world, but now I'm thinking where should I put them? Maybe in coffee shops or farmers markets? Any ideas how you would advertise with stickers?

Promotional stickers

Hi guys, I recently launched the Android app version of my website, Simonara and to advertise the app I created these stickers in Canva. I made them with the intention of handing them out to people while shopping in the city but I don't want people to just toss them out. How would you use them? My brother said I should leave them on cars but I don't know if that's like not respecting someone else's property? What do you think?

Building a small creator network

I’m working on an idea focused on helping small/local creators connect with businesses nearby for paid content opportunities instead of relying only on big influencer marketplaces.

Right now I’m looking to connect with creators interested in testing early campaigns with restaurants, cafes, shops, gyms, etc in their own cities.

Still early stage and validating the idea, but I’d love to meet creators open to local brand collaborations.

If interested, comment or message me your niche + city/ZIP.

A dream come true.. from idea to the App Store

After months of late nights, learning as I go, and rebuilding things more times than I can count… my app Simonara is finally live on Google Play 🎉

I originally started building it because I’m genuinely terrible at gifting under pressure. I’d wait until the last minute, overthink every option, forget ideas people mentioned months ago, and spend WAY too much time scrolling trying to find something meaningful. I launched the web version first and then worked almost everyday to get it on the Google Play Store. (Apple store coming soon...)

What’s wild is I had zero real tech background before starting this journey. I’ve basically been figuring things out piece by piece while balancing work, kids, life, and everything else in between.

Launching something publicly is honestly terrifying, but also really exciting.

Still a lot I want to improve, but seeing real people use something that started as just an idea in my head feels surreal.

Would genuinely love feedback from anyone willing to try it or even just hear how you personally approach gifting for people you care about. Simonara now live in Google Play Store!
