Wondering what would happen to cremated remains?

Just wondering what would happen to cremated remains during a zombie outbreak if the zombie virus is in the air and anything dead gets infected by it, if the remains would become animated or not? Maybe the remains of many individuals would come together and become a giant Sandman of sorts. Or, if it was just one individual, would they be knee high as the ashes only take up the space of one urn?
