What is that blue crap

Posted a couple days ago, 2015 corolla, it's all around the water pump gasket housing.

Gasket doesn't even look too bad and the pump spins properly, no idea why it started leaking

Looks like some sort of makeshift leak repair? Should I clean it with a toothbrush

2015 corolla to 2015 fusion hybrid

I told my dealer I'm interested in hybrid cars and he offered a swap, I trade in the 2015 corolla with 160k miles I bought from him and he's giving me a 2015 fusion hybrid he obtained recently.

I don't know the full details about the car yet, I do know I could use the lower gas consumption as I'm doing gig work, but what scares me is the issues older fusion hybrids have with the transmission. I'm thinking of the fusion is 100k miles or less I'm pulling the trigger and changing the trans fluid religiously to try and catch it early.

What do you think?

2015 corolla, water pump leak?

Car ran out of coolant yesterday, it ran hot for a couple minutes but I think I caught it in time.

Oil is a little low but it looks healthy, not contaminated. There's wet spots under the water pump, I managed to squeeze my arm through the hoses and it looks like coolant. There's also pink crusted residue all around it

What do you think? Water pump replacement?

Also about the last 2 pictures, especially the one with the pink deposits on the hood, could it be from it running hot and spraying over the cap? The position is kinda weird and if it was that I would think it would have made a mess around the cap first but it's spotless

I understand it's not like the army where you apply for a specific mos, in the air force you give a list of 10 jobs and the air force decides where to put you basically.

So it's basically chance and whatever the needs of the air force are. My question is if I apply for quick ship, which is presented as an option at the bottom of the application sheet with the jobs, does it influence my odds? Let's say I really wanted one of my 10 jobs and they're in order of importance, but a quick ship slot opens as aircraft maintenance, am I less likely to get one of the jobs I want now? Or does quick ship apply to the jobs on the list?

Am I essentially messing up my odds and increasing my chances of being stuck with a job I don't want?

Refund process has been initialized, apparently it's not considered a major appliance so it can be returned to the store directly. Never hooked it up, should have probably kept the crate but it's been thrown away, it has a serial number in the back still though. Should I just roll with it into the store? Anything I should know before doing this? It's my first time returning something this big, it's 80lb
