Mac and Cheese recreation.
I could not wait to share this on this subreddit. So, I really enjoy Evol’s frozen truffle Mac and cheese. But, I haven’t been able to find it at all lately. I decided to try and recreate it myself and it did not disappoint at all. It pretty much tastes identical. If not even better. I used Ditalini pasta. I made my béchamel sauce and I added cream cheese and white cheddar to it. Once my cheese sauce was done, that’s when I added my white truffle oil. Little by little until I was pleased with the flavor. I baked it in the oven for 20 minutes at 300 degrees F.
On the other hand, I took some panko breadcrumbs, seasoned it with salt, added shredded parm, as well as the truffle oil and some melted butter. Once my pasta was done baking, that’s when I added the bread crumbs. I put it back in the oven until it was golden.
