Colic still at 5 months.

Baby is 5 months. We’ve done it all. reflux meds - chiropractic- dairy free breast milk - exclusively pumping as he wouldn’t latch - switched to hypoallergenic formula - speech language therapist - ruled out tongue and lip tie - gas drops - weighted feed with an IBCLC - nutramigen to alimentum rtf- sideline feeding - changed bottles - wear baby carrier etc. Even switched pediatricians offices and ended up at the er one night. nothing. just a colic diagnosis.

He’s just so miserable. All wake windows are whiny. Isn’t visibly in any pain or anything. No vomiting or diarrhea. He had mucusy stools and constipation so went to HA formula. Now I’m pumping and losing my supply for there to pretty much be no difference and now I’m driving all around to pickup formula each week..

Naps are 40 mins tops and most are 20 minutes. Chronically overtired. False starts for bedtime. Im just so exhausted and I feel like this is supposed to be somewhat of a happy time in our life and my family of four are sad. I feel robbed of the baby experience. I’m not saying I’m comparing or it should be amazing. I’m just saying I shouldn’t be so bummed out with how much crying is happening. I wear earplugs everyday. My oldest son and I don’t even talk, because I’m always trying to get a baby to nap. Which takes hours sometimes…for a 20 min nap.

We have a G.I. specialist appointment in 2.5 weeks. Im trying not to hold onto too much hope because I know everything so far has been a dead end.

Im trying so hard. Im on the phone with the pediatrician nearly weekly. I have another child to tend to who gets no attention. I can’t think with all the crying. I just want this nightmare to end

Drying up supply as an oversupplier

Need to dry up supply without extreme pain or mastitis. I produce 30-40 oz per day and I dropped from 5 to 4 to 3 pumps.. now im down to trying to not pump at all and only hand express when im in discomfort. Problem is im always in discomfort. I am hand expressing about .5 oz-1 oz and then again I have a let down and im miserable. Boobs are leaking and look distorted due to milk ducts clogged everywhere. Even my nipple is bending sideways and veins are popping everywhere! What can i do? I read the peppermint tea is useless as well as Sudafed which is disappointing because I was going to try that today.

Similac coupons

On a Alimentum Rtf trial and I need to know how to use these coupons. They’re so confusing, I need help! I went to the register yesterday and the cashier tried to scan them and they did nothing. Then I look and it says “THIS IS A DIGITAL PAYMENT NOT COUPON.”
What does that mean? So those are basically nothing to me? how do I get actual coupons?

Thanks in advance! I shop at Kroger.

Just curious 👀

Baby is almost 5 months and he’s going to bed around 8:30 and up at 5am. I don’t go back to bed usually because I have to be up an hour later anyways. My sleep is all broken up because I wake up every hour out of anticipation he is going to be up, or I toss and turn, or takes me forever to decompress. Maybe hormones…?

So I’m getting about 6 hours of broken sleep. 😴

Can someone shed a light on this scenario? Baby is 5 months old and we have not gotten any real diagnosis. Was on reflux meds since 6 weeks that he didn’t respond to. Upped the dosage and still didn’t respond to. Would arch his back, stiffen up, tense, always jerky movements, would flail out of my arms doing back bends, so much colicky crying and horrendous gas pain. In the last few weeks lots of mucus in the diaper and today small strains of blood.
What I don’t understand is this: I’ve been dairy free for eight plus weeks. I’ve been soy free for two weeks. Today, we had 2 cans of nutramigen at our house, so… we tried it. He drank it no problem and we have three bottles now in him. He immediately felt relief, I could tell. I held him for the first time without him trying to jump out of my arms. He laughed, he was calm. He didn’t scream before bed. He let me hold him. He let us sit him up to burp.

wtf? How have I been df and soy free… and now a formula that’s for dairy allergy helps him? I’m so confused.

Baby is 5 m old and today I believe I see blood in his stool. I have been dairy free for eight weeks. We haven’t gotten a diagnosis as up until today we didn’t have any blood in the stool. I’m thinking I’m seeing blood here, but I’m not quite sure. Definitely mucus. Baby was put on reflux meds at six weeks and isn’t responding to them. Doctor is OK with changing to a PPI, but I am not on board with that just yet because of all the side effects. Especially since we don’t even know if it’s reflux alone.

Any thoughts here? I’m stumped because I’ve already been dairy free. Checking every single label and zero eating out.

We have tried hypoallergenic formula (Elecare) in the past, but baby won’t drink it even for fortified.

Baby is 4.5 months old and it’s been a really rough time. Haven’t enjoyed a day since he’s been born, because it’s been filled with crying and anxiety about what’s wrong or how to help him.

He was put on acid reflux meds at 6 weeks due to arching (literally backbends), refusal to lay flat or on his back, hates being burped, will scream, etc

But he also had gas pains, constipation and some very mucusy poos.

Dr had me cut dairy and I’ve been confidently dairy free for eight or more weeks. No improvement so Dr wanted to try Elecare Formula. There’s no blood in the stool or rashes.

My confusion is this… if I cut dairy, how is an HA formula going to help anything?!

is that also egg, corn, wheat, peanut etc free? is it because its ruling out all of those allergens as well? I know elecare also has soy. So how is it HA?

I guess I’m just confused if I’m doing the right thing by feeding him this versus my own milk. I just want answers.

Recently watched the Elizabeth Smart documentary and the Husband Killer Father true story. Loved (hated) them both obviously, interesting yet so disturbing. Is there anything else similar to these docs?
