For me, it'd be 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' (2007). Now, I haven't seen the original Malayam movie yet, so kindly don't quote me on that one. I'm just gonna talk about the hindi remake here.
Hera Pheri is another top contender in the list, but BB edges out for me for it's fresh and unique take of blending comedy and horror (psychological horror, to be precise), which was quite rare and one of it's kind at that time. While it's technically not the first horror comedy movie of Bollywood (that crown goes to Bhoot Bungla 1965), it still the film that truly legitimized and mainstreamed the genre in Bollywood.
