In my opinion batman should move past being a vigilante/detective now,

stories like world's finest, Batman RIP, snyder's run, failsafe etc. all scream that batman should be a cosmic hero by now and I hate that DC doesn't let him move past being a regular vigilante, why are we still getting stories like city of bane and joker war? If batman can have plans to neutralize the justice league, have robots and mechas why are guys like bane and joker taking over the city and even killing his loved ones? Absolutely stupid in my opinion.

Batman should only have stories like off world, failsafe endgame etc. I am tired of seeing him fight joker and scarecrow for the 100th time to reclaim his city.
