I’m looking for a sewing machine that I can hem jeans with.

I was originally going to buy a heavy duty singer because I read it can get through jeans but heard bad things about it as well. Also heard to just get a Janome.

I have a cheap brother from Walmart and I bought heavy duty needles to hem a pair of jeans and snapped all my needles. I need something better.

Recommendations for sewing machines and needles. And I’m new so specific recommendations are welcomed.
