In what direction do you put your laptop in a laptop bag?

Hello there, i'm working on a project for a laptop stand while it's charging, i need some info.

Since the structure is horizontal like in a laptop bag, i'd like to know how the majority of people positions theirs in one of those to make the project more functional.
