Big Job Interview Coming Up: What to Say or Not Say?

So doing a big career change and have an interview to drive a passenger bus. Now I have my DOT health certificate but only for a year. I’m a very healthy 53 year old guy with LADA type 1.5. Do I have to disclose this? And if not they may wonder why my certification is only 1 year. Please advise. Thanks!

Need Advice Feedback on a Company.

Anyone drive for US Foods? How’s the culture there. A non CDL route opening is available. They will help get my CDL. Not in a good position to pay for CDL school. Thanks!

Your Omnipod Experience?

Ok so re diagnosed type 1.5 after pills and Lantus stopped working. Always been thin but zero discipline with eating. A1c last year 11.8. Went on Omnipod with Dexcom and now at 6.2 with zero issues. This thing is a miracle in a box. Only $2 with insurance. Because A1c under control was able to pass my medical to get back to driving trucks. Was revoked due to high A1c a while back.

After 10 years of trying and figuring out how to control my diabetes! Was diagnosed 1.5 about 7 years ago after failing physical several times since. Went to get another DOT physical 2 years ago and passed. Sort of. Told me needed another 6 months with A1c under 7.5. Just got physical last week and now 6.5. Thanks to having a great endocrinologist who got me on the OmniPod. Only limitation is no Hazmat endorsement. But okay with me.

So how do I turn off the climate system. Seems like it’s always on and adjusts to temperature but sometimes want it off all together. Went on the climate screen and no obvious way to turn off. Thanks as always.

So I’m told 90% of trucks on the road are automatic or automated. But entering CDL school I’m also told to learn manual. Yet most schools only train automatic. What to do fellow drivers?

So the next step is the CDL permit test. Need the permit before starting classes at the community college. I’ve got the manual and been studying it. Seems like each chapter has knowledge questions. Pretty straightforward since answers in the text. My question is: is it just basic knowledge for the permit? Or air brakes or other aspects of driving. I assume safety is a major focus. How many questions? I’ve heard 30-50. Please advise. As always thanks!
