I imagine most students have MacBooks, but would love to hear current student recommendations. Not very familiar with Apple products tbh.
(I plan to major in Illustration and want to do game design/concept illustration if that matters.)

My daughter just committed to RISD as an incoming freshman. She’s really excited, but also a bit nervous about what to expect, especially the challenges of foundation year.
She’s neurodivergent (ASD/ADHD), so we’ll be requesting accommodations for executive functioning support, as well as a single room due to sensory issues that could be difficult in a shared space.
I’d love to hear from anyone with experience navigating disability services, housing, or counseling on campus. How supportive and responsive have they been?
We’ll also need to set up off-campus care for ADHD medication management, since RISD’s psychiatrist doesn’t prescribe those meds. If anyone has recommendations for providers in Providence, that would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks in advance!
