if i do undergrad in psychology

hi guys, im from georgia and I looked at the math exams for the undergrad and let me tell you it looks so hard but I want to do psychology and I feel like it's not as relevant so do you think when they check the results they will be less critical about that or is there like a threshold that you can't go below when it comes to the exams like you need to have 80% or more.

Do you guys think it would be OK?

hey, I'm from Georgia the country and I'm wondering would it be OK to ask my embassy if they have any old MEXT winners who I can contact and ask them some questions because I can't find anybody on Internet or is it like a weird question to ask for peoples contacts?

Hey everyone 👋
I’m a 20-year-old from Georgia, currently in 2nd year of university (Political Science) but I don’t like it. Now applying for MEXT Specialized Training scholarship (high school MEXT GPA 2.72/3.0).
Looking to connect with others who:
• Are in university but want to switch fields, or
• Are also applying for MEXT (especially Specialized Training or undergrad)
Even if you already got the MEXT scholarship, I’d still love to chat.
If you’re in a similar situation, comment or message me! ❤️

Hey everyone,

I'm from Georgia (country) and I'm trying to decide if I should apply for the Specialized Training College scholarship for 2026/2027.

Current situation:
- High school MEXT converted GPA: 2.72/3.0 (just recalculated using official MEXT formula)
- Currently in 2nd year university studying Political Science with 2.83/4.0 GPA (I realized I don't like this major at all)
- Strong recommendation letter expected
- I can write a solid motivational letter
- Age: 20

My plan is to do the 2-3 year Specialized Training program and then continue to a university in Japan for a bachelor's degree.

Questions:

Do you think I have a realistic chance with 2.72 GPA, or should I not waste time and focus elsewhere?

Any advice from people who applied for MEXT (especially Specialized Training) if you have any questions towords me pls ask away Thank you so much! ❤️

Hey everyone,

I'm from Georgia and I'm trying to decide whether I should apply for the MEXT Scholarship (Specialized Training College program) or not.

I have about 1 month left before the deadline. My situation is:

  • High school MEXT converted GPA: 2.56/3.0
  • Currently in 2nd year of university studying Political Science with 2.83/4.0 GPA (I realized I don’t like it at all)
  • I will have a very strong recommendation letter
  • I can write a good motivational letter explaining my situation

I’m 20 years old. My plan is to do the Specialized Training program (2-3 years) and then continue to a university in Japan to get a bachelor’s degree afterwards.

Do you think I still have a realistic chance, or am I being too optimistic and should focus my energy elsewhere? Especially with the 2.56 MEXT GPA. i have some voluntiring to in europ trough erasmus + (just sayng)

Any advice from people who applied for MEXT (especially Specialized Training) if you have any questions towords me pls ask away Thank you so much! ❤️
