Gorgeous magnetic for Project Hail Mary!

I have been dying to see Project Hail Mary since its release, as a huge fan of the book. I finally had the chance last night and it did not disappoint! What a perfectly orchestrated adaptation of a wonderful story. Amaze amaze amaze!

I had to paint my nails for the occasion and chose I Exaggerate Absolutely Nothing Ever by Bees Knees Lacquer. The depth of color in this shimmery magnetic is unreal! I created a cat eye/velvet style using a horseshoe and bar magnet combination. The final result makes me think of the Petrova Line…

Anyone else enjoy the movie or book?

Spring is here and I was feeling floral!

Spring is here and I was feeling floral! 🌸

My favorite base for nail art is two coats of Dusty Desires by Zo Zo & Co Polish. It’s the perfect nude for me! I waited for it to fully dry before adding the nail art. To start, I used Maniology’s white stamping polish to freehand French tips. I waited for the tips to dry, then used fine point acrylic nail art markers to add the lace details and little flowers. On my accent nail, I used flower nail stickers and framed them with dots of the Maniology polish. I sealed everything with a water-based top coat designed not to smudge nail art and then topped it with a quick dry glossy top coat.

The hardest part of this project was patience! It was critical to let each step fully dry before continuing - especially for the nail stickers. They simply do not last for me if I if put them onto wet polish. Patience isn’t my strong suit, but it paid off!

If you have any questions about using stickers or markers in nail art, I’ll do my best to answer them! I’ve gone through lots of trial and error. 😅
