Hello! I’m turning 30 shortly and wanted some inspo for ideas! I’m thinking about getting an air BnB with some friends for a weekend (probably around Currumbin valley area) and then adding in some activities during the days with maybe drinks and board games at night. I thought about a yacht cruise for around 20 people, or paint and sip during the day? What are some special ideas? Anything unique?

Since it’s a special birthday I want to make it a super fun weekend so celebrate!!

Hi,

I’ve just moved to a new city (in Australia) and tried a new salon (looked pretty reputable) to get a full set off classic deluxe lashes. At the end of the appointment my eyes were literally stuck together, as in I think she glued my top and bottom lashes together to the point where I literally couldn’t open my eyes? It actually made me feel sick in the stomach not being able to open my eyes.

It took her about four attempts of “okay open your eyes” and my lashes were still glued so I couldn’t. My eyes ended up streaming and eventually she got them unstuck (maybe 5 mins of fixing up?) I also did not get any kind of aftercare (literally not even a brush).

I emailed the salon to say I was quite disappointed with the experience, and not being able to open my eyes at the end was very uncomfortable. They emailed back a photo of my lashes saying “they look lovely”. Obviously I’m not a lash tech, but is this a really bad experience? I’ve had in the past little singular lashes stuck here or there at the end, but not being able to open my eyes was pretty awful and being told “but they look lovely” was pretty invalidating. Looking to advice from lash techs thanks!
