Small painless lump on my left index finger for 5–6 years

I have a small lump/swelling on my left index finger. I’ve had it for around 5–6 years, possibly longer. It has stayed pretty much the same size the entire time. I haven’t noticed any significant growth. There’s also no pain, no numbness, no restricted movement, and it doesn’t interfere with using my hand.

Just to clarify because it’s visible in the photo: the darker/thicker skin around some of my knuckles is acanthosis nigricans, which I’ve already been diagnosed with. I’m not asking about that part. I’m specifically asking about the lump on the index finger.

I honestly never brought the lump up to a doctor before because I was already dealing with acanthosis nigricans (it’s even worse on my other hand), and since it wasn’t painful or growing, I kept putting it off. But even though the ‘lump’ is medically “minor,” it causes me a LOT of insecurity and stress because it feels very noticeable to me.

I’m mainly wondering:
Does this look familiar to anyone?
Has anyone had something similar on a finger?
If it turns out to be benign, would a dermatologist or hand specialist still potentially remove it for cosmetic/mental health reasons?
If you had something similar removed, what was the process like?

TL;DR:
Small painless lump on my left index finger for ~5–6 years. It hasn’t really grown and doesn’t affect movement, but it causes me a lot of insecurity. Not asking about the darker skin (that’s diagnosed acanthosis nigricans). Mainly wondering what this could possibly be and whether something like this could be removed even if it’s not medically urgent.
