I am desperate. About a year ago, I had a spot on my nose. It burst on its own, and when it calmed down, two little dots remained. These often fill again and then disappear on their own. It took some trial and error, but my current skincare routine keeps them "dormant" for most of the time. I have tried different products with varying % of Salicylic Acid, and my current Face Wash seems to be the ideal. I have tried 6 months of Acnecide 5% w/w Gel Benzoyl Peroxide twice daily, and it did nothing.

I have visited a dermatologist in an expensive hospital and had the spot checked out, as I thought it is infected, or worse. There is no pain, no swelling, and I was told it was just a clogged pore. I recently also went to a private dermatologist/aesthetician, where I was told my pores are clogged as well. I have been given OBAGI Pore Therapy BHA Toner with 2% Salicylic Acid to use on off days from Retinol. I had a chance to use this maybe four times, and it does make my skin feel great.

This Wednesday, I did a Hydrafacial at the private clinic and had some milia removed as well (this was the main reason why I went for it), and again, my skin feels absolutely amazing, but the spot on my nose is probably the biggest I have ever seen.

I am out of ideas. I never get any other spots and I think I have a decent low effort routine. My skin is not oily and not dry. Does someone know what to do with this? Thanks in advance.

My skincare routine:

Morning:

Wash face with soap in the shower

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Oil Control Invisible Fluid SPF50+

or on cold dry days

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5+ Multi-Purpose Repairing Balm SPF50

Evening:

Wash my face with Clear&Clean Face Wash with Salicylic Acid (not on days when I use toner)

Twice a week Retinol 0.1 Cream

Twice a week OBAGI Pore Therapy BHA Toner with 2% Salicylic Acid
