I am dealing with massive family and new jobwork stress right now. Last week she went to trip with her friends to ny when she came back everything was chill but A few days ago, my girlfriend threatened to move out over nothing. I calmly told her she is free to leave whenever she wants. She actually packed her car and left, but came back crying a little while later.
my brain just shut off. I feel completely cold and detached now because she showed me she can leave whenever she wants.
Now she is crying about being "broke" and wanting to move in with her friend to help pay her friend's rent, which makes zero financial sense. I even gave her more than half rent money back from her rent money to help clear her credit card debt, but she just wants to play the victim and keep crying Idk what to do. My mom is strugglingoverseas due to heart surgery will be taken place soon and I am completelydrained.
Has anyone else just completely detached after a partner tried to use leaving as a weapon?
TL;DR: GF threatened to leave and packed her car to get a reaction out of me. I didn't react. She came back, but my trust is gone. I'm staying ice-cold and can't get warm to her again for some reason.
