Long story, but we purchased a 2026 mk8.5. Love her! Amazing to drive and looks so good!
However… I’ll save you the story - there is such minor damage to the front bumper. Small scrapes and just realized there is a crack in the front emblem.
As someone else mentioned in here… it stands out like a neon sign to us and hate it.
From what seeing, the black piece is part of the bumper so the whole thing would need replaced.
I am more concerned about the front emblem/sensor. No sensor warnings going on but wanting to understand how it’s put together.
Seeing the emblem may just be a cover for the sensor (really hoping that’s correct) and hoping someone can confirm. If that’s the case, seems the bumper still needs to be removed to switch out the cover.
While I enjoy cars and used to be an auto damage adjuster - it’s been some time. So in the process of re-learning and learning new things.
