Confused between Hospitalist/Heme Onc Fellowship/Addiction Medicine

So I'm an intern- going into pgy 2 year soon. Interested in heme-onc, visa requiring (on h1b), in a community program- has inhouse heme onc. My program overall has a good reputation and track record of matching people into competitive fellowships.

Stats- step 1 ~260, step 2 ~270, step 3~ 260. ITE if it matters was 99% in intern year. I think I'm doing well overall in my program- have had mostly glowing evaluations with very occasional minor negative feedback. Have 5 full publications, 2 of which are explicitly onc/palliative care related in okayish journals (IF in the 3 to 5 range). Have some posters in local home country conferences mostly as middle author, most are not onc related, except 1 which was presented at MASCC.

I'm very fond of general internal medicine and do enjoy floors a lot but I'm anxious about the future of hospital medicine, employability, and how compensation would be affected by midlevel/AI encroachment. I find heme-onc interesting as well but am unsure if I'm competitive enough given my visa status, and the amount of effort it would require for me to match. Wanted to know if my concerns regarding hospital medicine are valid, and if I'm competitive enough for heme-onc/what I can do to maximise chances of matching. Additionally, I also find addiction medicine very interesting and enjoyable, and wanted to know more about the future of employability and compensation in addiction medicine as well. Thank you!

Hello! 27 M. I'm a physician, currently in residency. I've always known that I don't want children. Additionally, I don't think the world is particularly a nice or safe place to bring a life into it right now.

About me:

Based in Chicago so would prefer someone from here. Politically progressive. South Asian (I am open to anyone of any ethnicity). Athiest. (Would prefer someone who's not too religious if not Agnostic/Athiest).

I love reading, mostly non-fiction. I love the humanities (in particular sociology) and hope to eventually go back to school to get a degree in it someday. I also write and have written for newspapers and journals. I'm very fond of music across genres and I use music to process a lot of my emotions.

I think the most important thing to me in a relationship is to witness and process the world around us with another person. I love talking just about everything and I would want a relationship where we can talk about things that we experience, things that we read, and navigate and experience the world together. I have had few relationships like this (platonic and romantic, though i don't think there's a big difference between the two lol), and I will always cherish them.

If my word-vomit resonates with you feel free to dm!
