[Paywall] Massachusetts: More laws and registrations coming?

I do not know what the deal is. The first time I saw this link, I gave it a quick read and then did an unsuccessful search for a collaborating news story. The next time I clicked on it, the article was for subscribers only.

It appeared to say that Gov. Healey is trying to pass a law requiring registration and insurance for ALL e-bikes.

https://www.bostonherald.com/2026/05/12/healey-files-bill-requiring-annual-registration-insurance-for-all-e-bikes-in-massachusetts/?utm_campaign=mrf-bluesky-bostonherald.com&mrfcid=2026051269f819c14e34c652f4ad18f6

EDIT: Legislation on mobility devices was passed the other day, and I am hoping that the article is just the usual shoddy reporting from the Boston Herald.

There is also a bill being worked on that will affect non-UL certified batteries and where they are kept and charged inside. If passed, I would likely have to get rid of the Foo F1 I stupidly allowed a bike shop owner to talk me into buying instead of the Velotric Fold I intended to.

I am liking this. They are down in the Hyde Park area.

EDIT: I am sorry that I did not go into detail, but by that point, I had been up for 22 hours. I also apologize that it was not the Papa Gino's sort of pizza that some Redditors dream about (I know that I did not declare that it was a pizza), but damn it tasted good, and I was looking for something to eat, not hump.

The liquid bread was also quite good. I was hoping when I arrived that they had something more in line with a traditional stout, along with a burger and onion rings, but I am not against trying new things.

The staff were really nice and had good taste in music. I do not hear folks playing The Meters around here much.
