Hey everyone! I’m planning to get a septum, but I’m a bit nervous about the pain. One piercer actually refused to do it because my "sweet spot" is very small, and she didn't want to risk hitting the cartilage (she seemed a bit inexperienced, which I appreciate her honesty for).

I’m definitely going to find a more senior professional, but I want to be mentally prepared. Here is my pain scale for my other piercings:

  • Nipples: 4-5/10
  • Nostril: 7/10 (mostly due to the irritation and involuntary tears).
  • Eyebrow: 1/10

On a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is a septum likely to be? And if a master does end up nicking the cartilage because of the tight space, how much does that jump up the scale? I'm more worried about the septum than my nipple piercings only because of the pain of hitting the cartilage
