cert 4 in screen and media - how much is animation?

Hihi! I'm moving to melb from a tiny small town in QLD this month and I figured I'd do a cert 4 in screen+media as I'm very interested in film, tv etc and will be working in the industry here anyway/have some gigs lined up. The only thing is that I've heard from a friend that the course delves into 3D animation, and I was wondering if anyone who has done the course could tell me how much of the course this takes up?

I have next to no experience in animation and I'd actually be quite excited to learn more about it as a medium! I'm just curious as my friend framed it as a negative, like it was a majority of the course and everybody already knew everything.

Thanks in advance!!! :))

I've had pretty extreme structural dissociation from a very young age, I was predisposed to dissociation far before I experienced the life-altering trauma that created the full-blown dissociation. My earliest memories of alters are from the age of about six or seven, mostly appearing in a way where i could visualise them externally and they would "help me" through situations, have long conversations etc in a way that was very easy for adults to brush off as imaginary play. I had my first full switch at about seven or eight.

The thing is, I'm not sure if those alters are even part of the system anymore? The first two were called Lacy and Sally, Lacy being a very emotional young child part I had to care for and Sally being more capable, older (so about eight or nine), socially intelligent and stepped in to handle difficult situations. Sally was present in some capacity until I was about 12. I lost a lot of time during my teenage years as I went through more trauma, I almost feel like the dissociation was so extreme I couldn't even recognise the old parts of myself. I was just floating along.

I have parts who never left who serve similar purposes, they had different names to them for a time in my early teens, but no matter what I called them the way they acted and interacted with the world stayed the same. Most of my alters don't have names anymore, I refer to them by function most of the time, except for one I refer to as "Em" as she is very present and serves a consistent role.

This is super long now but yes, I feel like I keep losing myself and whenever I am allowed to access memories and knowledge of my alters again, everything has changed
