[Chile] What does the court do when a child can't go with neither of the parents?
The mental institution where my gf goes to, is in the process of a lawsuit against my GFS stepfather, because she told her psychologist about the sexual innuendos and touches her stepfather did to her. (She's obviously a minor)
And so, there's a process to get evidence of that right now.
And I completely agree with having that man locked up, but that also means that her bio father will get involved, as he will get notified, he'll have a reason to get her custody, as their parents are divorced.
The thing is, her father is not in the conditions of taking her in.
So my question is, what would they do regardless the bio father? The stepfather needs to be investigated and locked up, obviously.
Would the court give her father the custody (regardless of the fact his environment isn't safe for her) considering that her stepfather is basically a pedo and her mother negligent?
What would be the best approach here, where would the court get her?
