So since I did my workout yesterday I’ve been thinking, what is the benefit of doing something like an ABC complex versus just doing the exercises separately?
At first I thought it might be time but realistically it will take a similar amount of time. My reasoning behind this thought is that there should be in theory more hypertrophic and or strength benefits from doing ranges of 8-12 or 5-8 reps respectively, obviously this is assuming that you are using a weight that only allows you to do a couple of reps.
Don’t get me wrong I have great fun doing complexes, and it is a great way to get your heart rate going but I almost always find myself isolating the movements, and doing sets of 8-10 reps.
I’d love to hear from the knowledgeable people of the group as there’s probably something that my primal brain is missing.
