My daughter is turning 4 and 3 has been so humbling. She has a great life, very loved and she is such a happy sweet baby but these tantrums over the smallest things is driving me crazy. People say the tantrums get better at age 3 but I feel like they are progressively getting worst. The screaming and yelling at the top of her lungs, taking her back and forth from time out 50,000 times a day. We take things away like toys especially if she throws them. She kicks and bites. I’m defeated. I feel like a crap mom because it’s not getting better and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve read books listened to podcasts tried getting advice from family. Any advice on how to manage the tantrums? Help her emotionally regulate? Once she’s mad all the skills we’ve worked on are out the window. However, when she sees someone else upset or crying she tells them the things we try to teach her for when she’s very upset. Parenting feels impossible sometimes. Sorry for the rant just really need advice.
