I will preface this by saying that I don't actually know if I need a full on stability shoe, neutral shoes are probably fine too. I've gotten my gait tested at a running shoe shop and they recommend I get the kayano 32, which is what I'm using for all my runs now.
It does feel heavy and clunky though, and I'm not sure if the impact protection is all that good, I do get knee pain sometimes but maybe that's because of my form too.
I'm a relatively new runner, been running for 3 months now, about 15km a week, but hoping to increase.
Looking for recommendations on a tempo/speed shoe, and maybe a racer in the future. I'm a student so value for money shoes are preferable, I'm open to previous models too, maybe a year or two older and I'll see if I can find them on sale. Chinese brands are okay too. If anyone has recommendations for expensive shoes though please drop them in the comments too if they would be suitable, if they're actually really good I'll save up.
Thank you!
edit: would prefer shoes with a wider toe box too, I've had Nike shoes in the past that really squeezed my toes together. I've also realised that my country doesn't really carry some brands like saucony in half sizes, I wear us 11.5. Asian brands or bigger brands like Nike and Adidas would probably have more sizing options.
