The details:
• 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic (W212)
• 117,480 miles
• $12,000
• Carfax: no accidents, 27 service records, 3 previous owners
• Listed as “Great Value” by Carfax
• Silver / black interior
• Premium 1 Package, Driver Assistance, Nav, blind spot, heated seats
• Owner types: Personal Lease, Personal
My concerns:
• 3 previous owners feels like a lot
• 117k on a German luxury car — am I walking into a money pit?
• Lease history early on — hard miles?
My plan:
Get a pre-purchase inspection at an independent Mercedes specialist before signing anything. Pre-approved through my credit union.
For those who’ve owned a W212 E350 around this mileage — what should I be most worried about? Any deal-breakers I should look for during the PPI? Is this price actually fair or is there a reason it’s priced below market?
Appreciate any honest input.
