What’s the one thing that makes a room stop feeling temporary to you?

What’s the one thing that makes a room stop feeling temporary to you?

Not “finished” exactly, just that moment when it finally starts feeling lived-in and settled instead of like you’re still passing through it.

I always notice it’s rarely about adding a lot more. Usually it’s one softer detail, one object with some presence, or one corner finally coming together.

Curious what that shift usually is for other people.

What little corner of your home feels the most like you?

Do you have one small corner in your home that feels the most like you?

Not necessarily the most decorated spot, just the one that somehow feels the most settled or most “yours.” I always find it interesting that sometimes one chair, one lamp, or one little corner can carry more feeling than the whole room.

Curious what part of your home ended up feeling that way for you.
