Thoughts on These Courses?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone here has taken any of these courses before. If so, who was your instructor and how was your experience overall (workload, grading, difficulty etc)?!

Courses:
PSYC 391 - Selected Topics in Psychology
PSYC 371 - Intervention: Process and Outcome
BUS 393 - Commercial Law
SA 322 - Religion and Society
SA 337 - Sexuality and Society
EDUC 376 - Introduction to Educational Leadership
CHEM 110 - Introductory Chemistry
PSYC 260 - Introduction to Social Psychology

Would really appreciate any shared insights. TIA :)

PSYC 260 + CHEM 110 textbook help

Is anyone taking PSYC 260 or CHEM 110 this summer?

I’m trying to find these textbooks:

• Revel for Social Psychology (Aronson) for PSYC 260
• Loose-Leaf Bundle: Introductory Chem w/ Achieve 1 Term for CHEM 110

Would anyone happen to have a free pdf/copy or maybe not using theirs anymore? i’ve had zero luck finding anything online myself and i genuinely do not wanna waste hundreds on textbooks this term.

TIA

In-Person LSAT Prep in Vancouver?

Anyone know of GOOD in-person LSAT prep courses in Vancouver? Not looking for online at all.

I already own books like LSAT Trainer, Loophole, and Powerscore but haven’t opened them because I’m neurodivergent and self-studying from scratch feels overwhelming for me. I think I need an actual in-person class first to ease me into the LSAT before moving onto books/free resources later.

Would love recommendations for beginner-friendly courses/tutors with structure and accountability. Honest reviews appreciated 😭

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in my 3rd year of undergrad and planning to apply to law school in the U.S. in the future. I feel like I have a solid understanding of the steps and what’s involved in that path, but I still want to explore a backup plan just to be safe.

I was wondering if anyone here has met with a career advisor at SFU-what was your experience like? Did you find it helpful or worth it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I’m a 3rd year undergrad student from Vancouver, BC, and I’m hoping to apply to law schools in the U.S. since that’s where I’d like to move and practice eventually.

I was wondering if any Canadian students here have gone through this process (or are currently in it). I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience-things like:

  • what the application process was like
  • your stats (no pressure to be specific)
  • where you applied / got in
  • how it’s going for you now

And if you’ve already graduated:

  • are you working now?
  • where are you practicing (state)?

No need to share anything too personal-any insight at all would honestly help a lot.

Thank you so much 🙏

Hi everyone,

I’m a 3rd-year undergrad student and I was very recently diagnosed as neurodivergent. Because of that, I’ve struggled a lot throughout my academic life without really understanding why, and it’s honestly taken a toll. I currently have a pretty low GPA and basically no volunteer experience (I'm working on these though).

Despite all of that, I’ve wanted to become a lawyer for as long as I can remember, and I really want to go to law school in the US.

The problem is…the LSAT.

Just thinking about it keeps me up at night. I know there are thousands of resources out there and I’ve already bought 4-5 highly recommended prep books, but I’m honestly too scared to even open them. I also know about platforms like 7Sage, LSAT Demon, etc, but I feel really stuck at the “starting” stage.

What I think I need right now is a structured prep course just to build confidence and get me into a routine. Once I feel more comfortable, I think I could transition into self-studying.

So I had a few questions:

  1. Does anyone have recommendations for LSAT prep courses (in person) in Vancouver (or live online ones that feel structured and guided)?

  2. For those who felt overwhelmed at the beginning, how did you actually get yourself to start?

  3. Any tips for studying with anxiety or executive dysfunction?

I’m not worried about budget, I just want something that will genuinely help me get started and stay consistent.

Thank you so much in advance. I really appreciate any advice.

Hi everyone,

I’m a 3rd year psych student hoping to go to law school in the U.S. in the future, and I’m planning to start studying for the LSAT soon. I was wondering if anyone here is currently studying or getting ready to write the exam?

I’ve picked up a few prep books and have been trying to figure out where to start because it feels extremely overwhelming. I’m neurodivergent, so getting started on something this intimidating has been a bit of a challenge for me.

I’d really appreciate any tips on how you got into a study routine, what helped things feel more manageable, or anything you wish you knew when you started. Also, if anyone’s interested in being LSAT study buddies, please let me know! :)
