I'm pondering this concept for a while: users being invested in the experience of a product that they believe solves their problem will use it longer.

It entails the careful design of slight friction in the user experience in strategic places. The idea being: this product is not for everyone and if you figure out a way to use it properly, the rewards are worth it.

What are good examples, books, podcasts about this concept?

NB: This is opposite to "enshitifaction" and also contrary to the concept behind "don't make me think".
