Wanted to get into the barrier section but realized it’s pretty much impossible. Is fleet services any easier? And how long do you have to be in patrol before they’ll take you? I just don’t want to spend years breaking my back on patrol when there’s nice cozy posts and either way you get paid the same, same benefits, same pension. Also are there any better positions than this? and what does a day in the life look like when you’re assigned to fleet services? Thanks

I’m really interested in joining that unit. Is it possible to get in without a hook and how long on patrol before they consider you for it?

Or will it not matter? For context, I have only called out once in the past five years, never late, no write up’s, have over 20 collars. Will this help me at all through the process?
