My boyfriend and I have been talking about which one we wanna do. He is completely set on a home birth. I've always been weary of them. I would just prefer to be in the hospital in case anything happens. Also, I plan on taking the epidural, which you can't do during a home birth. He says that's basically giving the baby drugs.

I've been doing research, but it hasnt really helped. What's the pros and cons of each? He seems really upset about the fact Im not leaning towards a home birth. So much so that he hasnt talked to me since this conversation last night.

Edit/Update: Thanks for all the comments and support. We broke up. He finally texted me at 8:30. He got upset because I wasn't letting the fact he ignored me all day slide. He sent a really mean message about how he needs to focus on his preaching career, and I'm not the kind of woman he sees his future wife being. I asked what he meant by that, and he said if im the woman he's meant to be with, God will open my eyes to what I need to change.

I said i dont understand, I dont think I've been doing anything wrong. He said it's not necessarily biblically wrong, just not what he wants in his future wife. So I said then how am I supposed to know what he doesn't like about me. He said it's not his place to teach me. I just dont understand.

I've switched churches/denominations for him. I've changed a lot of my views on children's education, woman preachers, and family views. I even agreed to move 6 hours away from my parents, which i always said I'd never do. So I dont see what he would consider "wrong." This home birth thing? That just seems so trivial and not worth breaking up over, but it happened so.
