Hello,

Found this beauty at a local auction today. Does anyone know where to get manuals, have experience with, or know where there may be a forum for these old decks? (hoping this is the right place of course!)

It turned on and the platter spun right up at first. It's gumming up now and the tone arm stopped deploying; it resets to the off position every try. I managed to search online to find out about the grease / lube hardening up. Figuring out how to get at the internals was completely different than anything I could find searching online.

After taking the feet off underneath, and removing the bottom cover, I was able to push off two clips from the transport anchor posts to release the deck. The grease and lubricants are almost solid, so I'm going to try some alcohol and qtips to see what I can get loosened up and moving better.

This is my first time working on an old turntable so I thought I'd reach out for any advice, and see if I could find a community refurbing and keeping these classics working.

Next step - see if I can find a compatible needle and find out if these cracked speaker wires will need to be replaced to get any sounds out of it.
