My daughter is almost 3 and sleeps great in her crib, so when I found out I was pregnant we discussed moving her to a big girl bed but decided not to. Well, now I’m about to be induced tomorrow and she’s decided she can climb out of her crib. Worst possible timing. She might also be ready to drop the nap? it’s hard to say, some days she absolutely refuses to nap but then yesterday I saw in the daycare app she took a 2 hour nap! When I tried to get her to nap Sunday she just kept climbing right out of the crib. I tried getting her to just do quiet time but she wouldn’t stay in her room. Bedtime has become a bit of a production, but she went to sleep so easily Sunday night and then slept later Monday. I don’t think we can fully give up naps because they have naptime at daycar, but maybe just weekends? I’m actually not all that worried about her hurting herself climbing out of the crib, since she doesn’t do it at bedtime (yet) and when I've watched her she very carefully lowers herself down by holding on to the top rail so she just drops a few inches to the ground and lands on her feet, but I know it’s not ideal. Anyone else made this transition the same time you welcomed a new sibling? Any advice for getting her to stay in her room when we do?
