Hello! I am a 32 year old woman who was diagnosed at 20. Since then, aside from 2 short stints of trying other meds and quickly returning, I have been on a generic adderall XR in the morning and then a lower dose IR in the early afternoon to get me through to bedtime. Right now that combo is 20XR & 10IR.
Anyway - I have been struggling with a slight addiction to alcohol over the past 6 years but I feel like I have a decent handle on it.

As an AuDHDer I like to track EVERYTHING and doing that has made me realize that there is a direct correlation in days that I take that morning adderall, and me really wanting to/drinking that night.

I don’t typically take it on Saturdays & Sundays and I could care less about drinking. I thought it was maybe just my job, (I work M-F) but nope. Sometimes I skip the morning pill at work and I don’t care at all to drink those nights.

What in the world?? I’ve done some googling and can’t seem to find much about it.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this??

My afternoon pill gives me an almost instant post nasal drip that lasts until bedtime… that’s a discussion for a whole different post I guess haha

I do wonder if it has anything to do with the fillers in the generics my pharmacy uses. I can’t remember off the top of my head what my 20mg are but my 10mg are teva
