Visiting Citi Field
My son's favorite baseball team is the Mets, and his favorite food is pizza. For my son's 13th birthday I'm surprising him with tickets for this Friday night (maybe the Mets can surprise everyone with a win). We'll be flying in from TX and staying at a hotel pretty much at LGA. We land around 1pm Friday and the mission before the game is to get some NY-style pizza. So where is a quintessential NY style pizza place and what is the best way to get around before the game? Would it be fine to walk back after the game or should we plan on a Uber/taxi? We plan to get to the stadium early, any cool opportunities around the ballpark we should try to hit up?
He doesn't know yet, we are gonna wake him up Friday morning and ask him if he wants to skip school and go to a Mets game. We fly right back out Saturday morning, his baseball team starts their playoff bracket Saturday afternoon. So we only have Friday afternoon and the game before we leave. Thanks in advance.
