Is passing Nebosh General easier today than it was before covid?

Hello

I failed the NEBOSH exams 2-3 times before COVID. I had the knowledge, but it required a specific way of answering. So I failed a few times and gave up. It was back when we would write exams in person at some rented place. Did anything change in the way exams look? Is it easier? Like I said I had the knowledge; it was the way to answer that was hard to master. I am not a native, so maybe the way I think is different?

Is there a point to learn anything if most of jobs pay around 35k at best?

Hi. I am 47m, I work in same job for over a decade. Last tax year with overtimes I pulled 43k (including overtimes). For team leading in warehouse and driving forklifts, so nothing flashy, nothing posh etc. I've been trying to find a new path, and what do I see?
- conversion to psychologist - do a masters, few years of practicing and after few years I will earn what I earn now
- conversion to law - do a master and then junior positions get me around NMW, and after few years of practice maybe will get what I earn now
- other conversions - as above
and all conversions mean year or two of Uni plus fees etc, to be financially where I am now.

So lets not think about Uni and degrees.
- data analyst so glorified by AI - 30-35k if you're lucky
- warehouse manager - most likely less than I earn now.

So my question is: what's the point in trying to be better qualified if all I can count on is mid 30k salary?

why did police come to this begging woman?

Hi. Few days ago I've seen in Prague, somewhere between Prazsky Orloj and Karluv most, there was this old woman with dog begging. Same as all beggars, on her knees and head to the ground. Police came, policeman took camera out and did her some pictures. Didn't stay to see what will happen next, but now I am curious: what could she possibly done that needed police intervention? Is begging illegal? or was it because of the dog?

how does Data Analysis look like in Supply Chain field?

Hi. How does Data Analysis look like in supply chain? Are analysts really needed? or do mid level managers do their own analytics? Is there big need for such profession in this field?

what's with all these duck shops?

Hi. I recently returned from Prague. In few spots in city centre, where I bet rent for shops is high, I've seen these duck shops. Nothing else but small, yellow rubber ducks. full shelves of these. and the shop is empty, nearly all day. What is this about?

too long in one place and lack of imagining what is outside.

Hi. I've been in one workplace for the last 15 years (logistics). Same office, just one promotion 11 years ago. Somehow I can't even imagine how other job positions could look like, especially in different companies. I keep thinking about for example data analytics (place any other job title) and can't imagine who would even need such skills. Is it normal state of mind?

Is data analytics a job or a profession?

Do you see DA as a profession (like a doctor or engineer, with the autonomy and "expert" status) or is this just a job where you trade SQL queries, Excel, and Power BI skills for a paycheck?

What shoes for city breaks

Hi. What shoes would be good for city breaks, but occasional nature walks. I have adidas terrex and these are bad. Narrow, even if I have narrow foot, these broke my nail and are rubbing small toes. Shoes for 100 GBP feel like cheap safety boots. My beaters are some cheap Asics from Sports Direct. Bought them in December 2019 and still wear these. Wouldn't use these for long hikes as heel fabric inside is already ripped, but I like these. Would you recommend something? Ideally black and not flashy/shiny.

Thanks.
