I’m trying to understand whether Malahide is better as a quick day trip or if it’s also a good place to live.

I’m especially interested in transport, rent, safety, Malahide Castle, coastal walks, and whether locals consider it too expensive compared with other Dublin suburbs.

Would love to hear real opinions from people living in Ireland.
