I took my first dose of reta (2mg) on Monday at 1:30 pm. Tuesday afternoon, a headache set in... it wouldn't go away with Excedrin. Around 9pm, my body began aching so badly. My joints hurt, my head hurt, and I got the chills. I was absolutely freezing. I had my room temp at 75F and I was dressed in warm layers and under the covers. I took two really hot baths between the hours of 10:30 pm and 2 am. And despite being extremely tired, I could not sleep. I'm not sure if that was due to the fact my body hurt and I was freezing, or if the Reta was keeping me awake. Now it's 3:30 pm Wednesday and I am fine. No headache, no body aches, no chills, and not cold. I would expect a headache due to the lack of sleep last night, but I am fine.

As far as appetite suppression goes, Tuesday was my office Cinco de Mayo party. I had a small amount of food compared to what I would normally have. I didn't have an actual dinner, just small snacks. Today, Wednesday, I have had zero hunger but have had protein anyway.

This isn't my first rodeo, I've been on Tirz for the last 2 years. Decided to try Reta because I plateaued for 3-4 months. I took 4 weeks off Tirz and started at 2 mg Reta. I'm also taking Lipo-C weekly.

I just thought I'd share my experience. The one night of side effects was really bad, very similar to flu/covid. However, the fact it only lasted for a short while has me feeling relieved.

Anyone else experience this?
