I have just bought a new BenQ DesignVue PD3205U 32" monitor.
However, I cannot get the software to work.
Every time I go to install 'Display Pilot 2', part way through installation a Windows 10 UAC message pops-up asking me "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?: Virus Ti Software Suite 64-Bit" (that's a virtual instrument plugin BTW).
The installation will not continue, and I cannot get rid of this UAC message whether I click 'no' or 'yes' and it just goes into a constant loop of nagging me. The overlay sits on top, not allowing any other program function. The only way I can stop it is ctrl+alt+del and force-stop 'Display Pilot 2'.
I tried temporarily uninstalling the Access Virus Ti software, but as soon as I ran the 'Display Pilot 2' sinstaller again, I got exactly the same problem, this time with 'Windows Keyboard and Mouse Center'.
There is obviously some kind of conflict. I submitted a support ticket to BenQ, but have not received any reply so far.
Clearly I cannot use all the features of the software and therefore the monitor, so if I can't get a resolution to this, it'll be going back to Amazon.
Any ideas?
