From Unacademy to YouXIAS: Genuine Disappointment With PEC Management & False Timelines

I’ve been following Aman Sharma sir since his Unacademy days, and now for more than a year at YouXIAS, but honestly the management of PEC kept getting worse every single year.

Aman sir himself kept saying “we are in pace”, but which pace exactly? Classes were never regular, timelines were never followed, and most things were always delayed. I took the mentorship course, and I literally had to ask 8–9 times just for a PDF. Even after that, I still didn’t get it.

At this point, why would I even buy another course in future or recommend it to someone else?

Just claiming that all topics will be covered is not enough. The whole point of mentorship/course guidance is proper planning and timely completion so students get enough time for revision before prelims. Instead, huge PDFs of 150+ pages were dumped when not even one month was left for the exam. How exactly are students supposed to revise that along with GS and CSAT?

And before people come saying “I managed”, good for you. But not every student is at the same level. A teacher should think about all students, not just the top few who somehow survive poor planning.

The biggest issue wasn’t even the content, it was the false timelines. Every time Aman sir said “we are on track”, eventually the course still kept stretching till the last moment. PDFs were delayed, classes were irregular, and everything felt rushed just for the sake of saying the course was completed because students had paid for it.

I completely understand Aman Sharma sir faced struggles after starting his own venture YouXIAS after leaving Unacademy, but once you take responsibility for students’ preparation and careers, that responsibility should come first. Instead, it honestly felt like sir was more busy building his office while students’ careers were left at stake.

No hate, just genuine disappointment from someone who trusted the process for years.
