Hi everyone, looking for some advice because I’m really struggling with my baby’s sleep and don’t know what to do anymore.
My baby will only breastfeed to sleep and is waking constantly overnight — usually every 1 hour 45 mins to 3 hours max. I’m waking 5+ times a night most nights and I’m completely exhausted.
Getting him to sleep any other way is really difficult, and if I try to transfer him after feeding he often wakes up. I’m starting to feel trapped by feeding to sleep because nothing else seems to work consistently.
During the day naps are about 2.5hr in total and his second nap of the day is usually longest 1hr 25 min
I honestly don’t know if this is normal, a sleep regression, a feeding association issue, overtiredness, or something else entirely.
Has anyone else gone through this?
- When did it get better?
- Did your baby eventually stop needing feeding to sleep naturally?
- Is there anything gentle that actually helped reduce wakeups?
I’d really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences because I’m running on empty at the moment.
