Hello! I have a couple of tattoos that I would like to refresh (see pictures). They are both in between 12-14 years old. I spoke to a tattoo artist who did one of them (the name). He told me he can do it but lines will become much thicker. Is that true? He was not able to specify how much thicker they will become.. Could I ruin them if I refresh them?

Tattoo artists' answers are especially welcome, but also people who have refreshened theirs.
