So Tired of Mexican Food

As the title says. I enjoy cooking. I really do. But, due to a new job, I really do not get much of a chance now. Because of this, my wife cooks far more often. But, she mostly cooks Mexican food. My step daughter has started learning to cook, but she pretty much only likes Mexican food, and only wants to learn to cook Mexican food. Mexican food is not bad, but it just isn't something I go out of my way for. Mexican food is not in my top ten favorite food genres. I did not grow up eating it. We live in Texas, and in a predominantly Hispanic area. So, most of our restaurant options are also Mexican food. Or crappy fast food. I am so tired of Mexican food. I end up eating it at least 5 times a week. I cannot keep this going. All of it is basically the same thing, just on different plates.

Tortillas aren't good. They are the least tasty option of the flatbreads. I am so tired of them.

Cilantro tastes like dish soap to me. I am not fortunate enough to have the proper genes for cilantro.

Also, Mexican food is not healthy. Since I started eating it as my main genre of food, I've gained 35 lbs.

I need to go months without eating it again. Honestly, I could go the rest of my life without Mexican food and be perfectly content.

Thank you for letting me vent.
