Mk.gee Rockman Drums?

Hello, had a question I was hoping any production people might know the answer to. In the live SNL performance of Rockman, during the chorus Zack Sekoff hits what I’m assuming is a blown out snare that almost sounds like a gunshot. He does it 3 times in a measure around 2:23 in the video.

I know it’s virtually impossible to perfectly recreate, but I’ve been trying to get that same kind of crack/pop sound for a couple days now. From what I can tell they’re probably using some sort of TR-808 snare layered with heavy compression and hard clipping, but I’m mostly curious how it might be EQ’d, what kind of snare/sample would work as the base, if it’s layered with other sounds or drums, and what kind of processing could get it that explosive sound.

Any knowledge would be awesome, I’m very fresh to non-live production especially in regards to drums.

Hello everyone,

I recently moved to Los Angeles and I’m looking for a good barber or salon to get my hair trimmed and shaped. I model, so I can’t really get fades or sharp lineups I’m more so looking for someone who understands textured hair and focuses on natural length and shaping.

My haircut is pretty simple (I’m guessing) around 2 inches on top and about 1.5 on the sides. I mainly just need a clean trim and some shaping, not a ridiculously intricate haircut.

Does anyone have recommendations for places in LA that are good with this type of haircut and preferably won’t cost $100+? Open to both salons and barbershops.
